FAQ
Common Questions
Do I need my own equipment?
Priority hires have a full kit and a car. We also place experienced cleaners who use products already at the client's home. Kechkay doesn't supply equipment — we'll confirm what's needed on your application.
Is the work residential only?
Yes — domestic homes, rentals and short-lets across East London and South Essex. We don't send cleaners to offices or commercial sites.
What hours can I work?
That's entirely up to you. When you sign up you tell us your availability and we only send you jobs that fit. You can update any time.
How and when do I get paid?
We run weekly payroll. Your hours are logged through our platform and payment goes directly to your bank account.
Do I need a DBS check?
Yes — all Kechkay cleaners must have a valid DBS check. If you don't have one, we can guide you through getting one. The government fee for a Basic DBS check is £21.50.
What if I can't make a shift?
We understand life happens. Just let us know as soon as possible through the portal and we'll arrange cover.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
No. We operate zero hours contracts so there's no minimum commitment. Work as much or as little as suits you.
